Dear year 5,

At Desert Park we went straight to the free flying bird show at the amphitheatre. Basically, you sit down and birds fly around you, the lowest flying being the magpie and the second being the Hedwig, yep you read it correctly Hedwig the Snowy owl!

We also saw a Wedge Tailed Eagle which was Amazing! After that we wondered around until we found the Nocturnal House to see the mice, bilbies, snakes, lizards, spiders and rats. We even  saw a thorny devil! After that we, that is dad James and I  went to the EAGLE ENCOUNTER!

And it was amazing!!! We got to see a Wedge Tailed Eagle up close! It was extremely cool, hang on it was not an Constipated Overweighted Old Lady! It was awesome, and I mean REALLY AWESOME!!!!! Their wingspan is up to 2m across!DSC_2612

We spent most of the rest of the day wandering around until it got way to hot to do anything apart from sit in the aircon.

  1. How luck are you Sam seeing a Wedge Tail so close up! I love seeing them soar in the sky and would love to see them that close one day. XX
