After leaving Cape Range we had another night at Exmouth to wash and do a quick shop. We treated ourselves to another meal of fish and chips and were off early on Saturday morning. It was a pretty full day driving northeast towards Tom Price. Once we turned eastward the scenery was just beautiful, much more green than I had expected. I took to taking happy snaps out the windscreen.
We covered 455kms before pulling over at a free camp/rest stop about 100kms out of Tom Price. A lovely (and busy) spot for a fireside chat with fellow campers, and next morning, a chance for James and Julian to practice skimming stones in the few remaining waterholes under the Beasley River Bridge.
