James – Albany

When we arrived at Albany we went to the National Anzac Centre where we got to follow someone’s story and find out if they lived through WWI or not. The person that  I was following was called Joseph Eric Pearcy.  He travelled to Gallipoli on the ship called Ascanius. I liked going there.P1030781

The next day we went to Whale world and we got to go on a whaling ship called the Cheynes 4.  DSC_0884

The next day we walked along lots of beautiful beaches and at night we watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.  When we were on our way out of Albany Dad did  bike ride and we went on a ship called the Brig Amity.  After that we went to Denmark.

  1. James, when you have to sleep in a hammock for real and not for fun, you learn the best way to sling it is to make it as straight as possible – but of course, it is not so easy to get into it. When it was time to get up in ships with hammocks, the man on duty would call out – Show a leg! and then you had to get out and lash up the hammock and put it away so that people could move around that part of the ship without having to duck under hammocks, Love from Pa
