When we got to Winton we went to the Age of Dinosaurs Museum and it was not what I was expecting. It had a couple of small bones from Banjo the Australovenator wintonensis (pronounced – oss-tra-low-ven-ah-tor win-ton-en-sis) and lots of big bones from Matilda the Brachiosaurus.
After that we went in to Winton and discovered that a billabong near Winton inspired A B(Banjo) Paterson’s Waltzing Matilda so now I can sing a full recital with no mistakes.
We got a great van park right in town. There was a big festival on. After that we went into town and did some sand art. The next day we went in to town and I got to ride in an 8 wheeled army tank!!!!!!!! It accelerated super fast!
After that we browsed the many museums for the rest of the day. The next day was leaving day so we had to pack up. On the way out we spotted Nathan Griggs, Guinness world record holder whip cracker, and Dad bought an inner tube stock whip, which I’ve learnt how to crack.
Sam out.
Wow you’re a whip cracker now- fantastic Sam!
P.S Tell your dad I like his Banjo Patterson statue impersonation.
