Today we went on an Ocean Safari tour. On the way to the reef it was a roller coaster ride and it was blowing 20 knot winds. Someone vomited over the side! Next we went snorkeling and the coral was excellent, combined with great visibility = excellent snorkeling 🙂 .
I spotted a sleeping turtle, a reef shark, some stingrays and giant clams. At the first snorkel site we stayed for 1 hour and then we moved to next site 500m away. I did not hop in the water this time so I helped the skipper with putting away fins and masks. The 30min back to shore was calmer than on the way there but still a very
bumpy jumpy bonejary seasicky ride.
Then we had a hot shower and headed back to camp and back to the beach. Dad went fishing and caught 3 Whiting. He said he would use them for bait at Ellis beach (which I purchased).
Sea ya later alligator, don’t forget your homework paper.

Hi Sam,
What is worse: rough seas or bumpy roads?
The reef turtles and fish look amazing, and so colorful!
Enjoy the reef and sea, because it will be a long time before you get to Bass Straight.
Love Grandpa Geoff
Hello Sam. What a great snorkel trip you describe here. The photo of the turtle is magnificent but probably still not as good as seeing them “live”.
Happy travels to all of you.
Cheers
