This morning I woke up to a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef. It only took half an hour to get there. The Ocean Safari boat had 700 horse power. It was blowing 25 knots so it was a very . . . bumpy, jumpy, knee-wacky, bone-jarry, vomity, huge wavey, sea sicky ride.
When we got to the reef I got in the water and it was freeeeeeeeeeezing, even though I was wearing a wet suit!! I saw a reef shark, a full grown green turtle that was sleeping on the bottom of the ocean and Nemo!!!! This was the first time in my life that I got so close to all these animals so it was all pretty exciting in my opinion.
Unfortunately the way back was also very bumpy, jumpy, knee-wacky, bone-jarry, vomity, huge wavey, and sea sicky. When we got back the only other thing that we did was play on the beach and that was what we did for the rest of day!
Bye from James.
James, in situations like your trip out to the Reef, some people say “the more firma, the less terra”, Cheers, Pa
The water looks amazing, shame about the roughness of the sea.
I share your opinion James- seeing those creatures close up is certainly very exciting!! XX Aunty Erika
