Sam – Perth

When we arrived at Perth we stayed at Uncle Craig’s house.  We also went out to Rotto (Rottnest island) on his boat and caught some squid at “Windmills”.

Perth AQWA (aquarium of WA) had a glass tunnel with sharks in it!  There was also a touch pool and I got to feel starfish, blowfish, sea slugs and port Jackson sharks.  The shark’s skin felt rough like sand paper.

At Fremantle gaol we briefly sussed out the main area of the gaol and then we went to Little Creatures brewery and then went back to Peppermint Grove and played Lego and Wii.
At Sorrento we babysat Sam the dog for one week.  He is a Labradoodle.  We had to feed him and walk him every day.  When James and I played footie Sam stole the ball and would not give it back!  In the end James and I had to chuck the footie into the pool whenever Sam decided to “join in”.  I discovered that owning a pet is really hard work.

See ya later alligator, Sam.

  1. Sam, I know that Bec and Ross really appreciated the way you looked after Sam. And as you now know, looking after a pet takes time and perseverance – well done. Love from Pa

  2. I am really enjoying reading your posts Ellis family :-) What an amazing trip you are having. Most impressive photos – I am wondering who the photographer is in the family?
Even though looking after a puppy is hard work, you looked and sounded like you enjoyed it Sam ( and i would say that Sam the dog loved it too!)
